Concrete work in Boca Raton. Planned from the ground up.

In Boca Raton we build what we build everywhere we work: driveways, patios, pool decks and steps for homeowners, and slabs, foundations and lots for property owners. I come out from Wellington to look at each job myself, because an old slab usually shows what went wrong under it. We do the same work in Palm Beach Gardens and Delray Beach.

Our concrete services in Boca Raton. From driveways to foundations.

  • Concrete driveway building

A new driveway dug out to firm ground and packed, for when the old one has sunk, cracked across or holds puddles.

  • Concrete patio construction

If you want more room outside, we pour a patio sloped away from the house so rain runs off.

  • Stamped concrete services

Pattern and color pressed into fresh concrete so a driveway or patio looks like stone or brick, on the same packed base.

  • Concrete sidewalk building

Walks from the driveway to the door or along the house, with joints cut so cracks land where we choose.

  • Garage floor concrete

When a garage slab is pitted or cracked, we replace it with a floor built for a car's weight.

  • Decorative concrete

Colored, scored or exposed-stone finishes for patios, walks and entries. Worth it when you want the concrete itself to be the look.

  • Concrete retaining walls

Where a yard steps down or soil is pushing toward a slab, a poured wall with drainage behind it holds the ground.

  • Concrete floor installation

Interior concrete floors for additions, workshops and utility rooms, poured level so tile or a polished finish sits flat.

  • Concrete pool decks

A pool deck with a broom finish swept into the top so wet feet grip and water drains away.

  • Concrete steps construction

Front or back steps with even heights, for when the old ones have cracked or pulled away from the house.

  • Slab foundation building

A slab for a house, addition or outbuilding, with rebar laid inside so the steel holds the concrete together if it cracks.

  • Foundation installation

When you're building, we dig, form and pour the foundation to the plans, so the walls start level and firm.

  • Concrete parking lot building

For a business or apartment property, a lot poured thick enough for steady traffic and sloped so rain reaches the drains.

  • Concrete footings

The concrete base under a wall, column or addition. If the footing is wrong, everything built on it shows it later.

  • Foundation raising

Where a slab or part of a house has settled, we look at why first, then lift and support it toward level.

  • Concrete cutting

Saw cuts through slabs and walls for a new doorway, a pipe run or a damaged section, without breaking up the rest.

How a Boca Raton job runs. Permit and plan first.

Inside city limits, the City of Boca Raton Building Department issues permits, and work that needs one can't start until it's issued. We pull it as your licensed contractor and handle the paperwork, keeping you posted until it's in hand.

It's fair to ask any contractor for their license and business tax receipt, and we're licensed and fully insured. Your price moves with the slab's size, how much old concrete and soft fill comes out, and the finish you pick. Pour day waits on the permit and the weather, and I put what's included in writing.

Why the ground matters in Boca Raton. Most failures start underneath.

Most cracked, sunken slabs we replace failed from underneath. The ground was raked level instead of dug out and packed, so it settled and took the slab with it. Others slope toward the house or were poured in midday heat and went dusty on top.

That's why I put the base ahead of the finish. Nobody sees it on day one, so it's the first thing a cheap bid cuts. We dig out and pack the subgrade, the soil the slab sits on, check where water runs, and cut control joints early so a crack follows a groove we placed.

We work well past Boca Raton. Ask about your city.

Boca Raton concrete questions. Plain answers before you call.

Read the answers below first. If your question isn't here, call (561) 268-0415 and I'll walk you through it.

Do I need a permit for a concrete driveway in Boca Raton?

Don't assume it's exempt, because the City's exemption list doesn't name concrete work. That list covers painting, flooring, drywall finishing and similar non-trade work on a single-family home worth up to $7,500 in total, with nothing structural. We check with the Building Department at the start and pull the permit when your job needs one.

What does a business tax receipt mean for a contractor in Boca Raton?

It means the business is registered to sell services, not that its work is any good. Palm Beach County requires one from anyone selling services in the county, on top of any license the law requires, and the City requires its own for each business location inside Boca Raton.

Will my new concrete driveway crack like the old one?

It can still crack, because concrete shrinks as it hardens, but a slab on a packed base with control joints cut early usually cracks inside those grooves, where you'd hardly notice. On a new driveway we also lay rebar, steel bars inside the slab that keep a crack from spreading, where the job calls for it.

How long before I can drive on a new concrete driveway?

You can usually walk on new concrete within a few days, but cars wait longer, because it's still curing, slowly hardening and gaining strength. We'll go over the wait for your slab before we pour, since its thickness and the weather change it.

Who comes out to look at my concrete job in Boca Raton?

I do. I look at the job and give the estimate myself, walk you through the options so you know what each one will and won't do, and I'm on site leading our crew when we build and pour.

Is your slab cracked or sinking? Call and ask about it.
